After all, steel structure building is not a small product. It is a combination of many components installed together. Even today’s machines are all computer-controlled, with high precision. However, there will still be problems during the installation process, such as misalignment of holes and re-drill holes on site. No matter how precise the cutting and drilling of the steel plate is, there will be errors during installation. The accumulation of small errors in each step of the installation will cause problems such as misalignment of the subsequent components and incorrect bolt holes. The installation should pay attention to each part’s installation accuracy and quality to improve the overall installation accuracy.
How to Improve the Accuracy of steel workshop building installation?
The work before the steel workshop building installation
- Before the steel workshop building installation, all preliminary work should be done. For example, before hoisting, the installer should retest the components, and only when the components are not deformed and the installation dimensions are correct can they be hoisted. Besides, under the premise of confirming that the foundation concrete’s strength meets the specification requirements, the installer should also test the embedded bolts or cup-shaped holes of the steel column foundation. Record to adjust the position of the steel column.
- First, to improve the accuracy of steel workshop building installation, choose the workshop with column bracing, tie rods, and roof bracing. After lifting this part of the steel column, the steel column’s axis and height must be re-measured. After the correction, the steel column is temporarily stabilized with a steel cable wind rope, and then the bracket between the columns, the top beam, and the tie rod between the beams are installed. This is the so-called rough installation.
Install the roof beam
- Before installing the roof beam, it should be assembled on the ground first and then measured. After the beam is installed in place, it is connected with high-strength bolts, and the other parts are fixed with corresponding bolts, but all kinds of bolts cannot be locked after fixing each component, re-measure and correct the steel column’s shaft and height for fine adjustment. The axis of the steel column should be retested from both directions. After retesting, the bolts in each part should be tightened in turn.
- When installing the roof steel frame system, sometimes roof bracing and roof purlin installation often conflict. If the roof bracing is installed first, the roof purlin cannot be hoisted; if the roof purlin is installed first, the roof bracing is inconvenient to hoist. Our usual practice is first hoisting the roof purlins in batches on the roof beams and putting them aside for fixation. The purlins in the same span can be divided into 4 or 5 batches, which must be fixed after stacking.
The tightening process of bolts
The high-strength bolts must be initially screwed first. During the tightening process, the axis of the steel column should be dynamically tracked. If the axis change exceeds the allowable value, it should be adjusted immediately. The tightening process should be from the beam-column contact to the support member and the tie rod contact. The two ends of the same component should be symmetrical to reduce the cumulative error on one side. This ensures that the steel column is installed correctly. If it is found that the installation part and the installation part do not cooperate during this process, the installation part cannot be adjusted. Still, the installation part is adjusted, or other remedial measures are taken. For example: if the steel beam and the steel column do not match, the steel column cannot be adjusted. Only the steel beam can be adjusted. The steel column’s correct installation is necessary for all other installations in the entire bent frame installation process.
The construction sequence of Steel Workshop Building
Let the crane boom extend out of the roof from the gap between the various batches of purlins, hoist and fix the roof bracing, and roll out the roof purlins. This construction sequence is critical. Considering that the installation of the enclosure and the main structure is often not the same construction unit, an experienced manager must be responsible for unified command and coordination. Doing so can avoid mutual interference between construction units and improve the safety of the high-altitude operation process.
The installation process should be reminded that if there is a crane beam system in the factory, and the space between the crane beam and the roof is not enough for the crane boom, the crane beam should be installed before installing the roof bracing. If the distance from the roof is larger, it can be installed later. In general, the crane beam is hoisted as soon as possible, which is also beneficial to the entire bent frame’s stability. During the steel workshop building installation, each independent bent part should form a stable structure as soon as possible. Through the above method, each independent bending part should form a stable structure as soon as possible. Other parts can be installed in sequence to stabilize the entire equipment structure through the above method, thereby reducing errors.
